This is an animation I did to introduce myself to the class. The brief for the assignment was to use some form of media to tell the class a little about yourself. I started off with randomly drawing things that I like and then doodling around it with random things that came into my head, sort of like a brain storm but made into a picture. I decided to keep going with the idea, so I imported it into photoshop using my scanner, and then used illustrator to choose colours and use 'live trace'. Once I had two different files one just using a white trace and purple background, the other was colour with a purple background. I then imported them into Flash (with great difficulty to bigger files). I then used a mask to go over the colour layer so that the colour layer only showed when I used a path to go over it with a circle I had drawn in Flash. The plan was to have it freeze on each main things I wanted to say I like. While I had my voice explain each thing. I didn't like how my voice sounded on the microphone so ditched that idea and used text instead. I had problems exporting the file as the .fla and .swf file really didn't work perfectly. I then decided to export it as a .mov file unfortunately the image ended up with a few faults in this file type but it was the best I could do because I gave up :P but anyways enjoy.
